The Association was originally organized as the Ohio Jewelers Association on June 24, 1971 as an Ohio nonprofit corporation. The Association transformed its name and focus in 2010 to the Mid-America Jewelers Association.
Membership in the Association is limited to those individuals and business entities whose primary business is jewelry retailing and manufacturing.
