An annual tradition at The Show is the Jewelry Design Contest.

The 2012 Design Contest took place in August during the Mid-America Jewelry Show. The 2012 winners were:

Category 1 (Up to $1,000 cost)

1^st Place Jeffery Long, JL Jewelers, Fairfield, OH (pictured to the left)

2^nd Place Cynthia & Jacob Roberts, A Small Extravagance, Lexington, KY

3^rd Place Brent Kehrle, Haring Jewelers, Mansfield, OH

Category 2 (Over $1,000 cost)

1^st Place Belinda Cate, Abshire & Haylan Jewelers, Stow, OH (pictured to the right)

2^nd Place Kim Harter, EM Smith Jewelers, Chillicothe, OH

3^rd Place Jeffery Long, JL Jewelers, Fairfield, OH

In addition to the top 3 places, one entry was voted as the Best of Show. This year's award was presented to Belinda Cate, Abshire & Haylan Jewelers, who also won 1st Place in Category 2 (pictured above). As Best in Show, Belinda's design will be submitted to Jewelers of America for its National Design Contest early next year in New York.
